A gentle routine

Follow the item-specific care instructions first. Where material-specific guidance has not been supplied, begin with a light dusting using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soaking, pressure washing, abrasive pads, solvents or strong cleaners until their suitability is confirmed.

Protect the doorbell

Keep liquids out of the existing device. Do not scrub across cameras, speakers, sensors or electrical openings. The doorbell manufacturer’s care instructions take priority for the device itself. A decorative surround does not add a water-resistance rating.

Check the fixing

Look periodically for looseness, cracks, sharp edges or a changing mounting surface. Stop using a damaged or insecure accessory. Do not repair a fixing with an improvised method that could damage wiring or interfere with the doorbell.

Store thoughtfully

If an accessory is removed, keep it dry and protect projecting floral or leaf details from pressure. Separate it from items that may scratch or crush the design. Keep packaging and small loose parts away from children and pets.
